Refund, Cancellation, Rebook, Reroute

1. Base fare:

Basic Fare: the published base amount of an air ticket, exclusive of taxes and fees, which serves as the basis for the calculation of the total fare and applicable fare conditions.
For base fare, the fees for refunds/cancellations/changes are either waived or assessed based on different fee structures, depending on the type of itinerary and fare class. Detailed information can be found in Fare rules HERE.

2. Tax, fee, surcharge:

• Voluntary: Due to passengers 
• Involuntary: Due to The Carrier (incase of cancellation, unusual or special situations)
• X: non-refundable/ non-exchangable
• V: refundable/ exchangable

- For refund, cancellation, and rebook/reroute fees related to previously flown itineraries/flights: refunds or rebook/reroute are not permitted under any circumstances.
- For ancillary services (including seat selection, additional baggage purchase, insurance, airport service upgrades, priority check-in, etc.):
- Refunds and/or rebook/reroute are permitted in cases of involuntary flight cancellation or rebook/reroute.
- Refunds are not permitted in cases of voluntary flight cancellation or rebook/reroute. 

- Refund, cancellation, and rebook/reroute fees are inclusive of VAT;
- Applicable to all tickets with refund, cancellation, or rebook/reroute permitted; passengers are required to pay the applicable refund/cancellation/ rebook/reroute fees in accordance with the fare conditions;
- Refund, cancellation, and rebook/reroute fees apply to adult and child passengers; no such fees apply to infant passengers (under 2 years of age);
- For ticket changes or itinerary changes: the fare, taxes, and fees of the unused portion of the itinerary shall be recalculated;
- For refunds or cancellations of unused itineraries: passengers are required to pay any applicable charges or fees incurred (if any);
- Rebook/reroute are permitted only to itineraries or fare types with an equal or higher new fare; passengers shall pay any resulting fare difference (if applicable);
- In the case of combined fare families, the most restrictive conditions shall apply;
- System administration surcharges, fuel surcharges, and applicable taxes shall be refunded where the ticket conditions permit refunds
 
*Application processing fee: A surcharge of 100,000 VND/segment (VAT excluded) is applied for flights departing from Ha Noi/Ho Chi Minh City/Da Nang/Nha Trang/Da Lat/Hai Phong/Vinh and 50,000 VND/segment (VAT excluded) is applied for the remaining routes.
The above surcharge levels are applied to adult passengers. The document handling surcharge applied for children is 50% of that for adults.

Refund amount

* Involuntary refund will be applied incase
- Flights departing 4 hours or more earlier/later than the original departure time.
- Flights cancelled, or rescheduled to an alternative flight departing 4 hours or more earlier/later than the original departure time.
- Flights cancelled with no alternative or with an alternative that results in a change of itinerary.
- Flights with a total of 4 or more changes to departure times.
