Refund ticket instructions
I. For bookings made directly via Bamboo Airways Website / Mobile App / Ticket Office
1. Refund will be sent to your Evoucher account (processing time is within 7-14 working days from the date of final confirmation of your refund request)
- E-voucher account is non-identifiable,
- Valid for 365 days from the date of issue,
- Can be used multiple times until the E-voucher value is exhausted.
Applicable to:
- Tickets issued via website/mobile app or purchased directly from Bamboo Airways on all currently operating routes.
- Gift voucher tickets that are still valid and eligible for refund.
Use the email address registered when booking to send your request to 19001166@bambooairways.com. Information to be provided includes:
- Booking code for refund request,
- Names of passengers requesting a refund (Specify names),
- Flight route for refund request (Specify flight route/date/time).
2. Refund to the original payment account used to purchase the ticket
Case 1: Customers can process the refund themselves on the website
(Not applicable to refund requests due to schedule change or flight cancellation)
Instructions:
Customers access the Bamboo Airways website at https://bambooairways.com/vn/en or the Bamboo Airways mobile app and follow the steps below:
- In the “My Bookings” section, enter the Reservation Code and Last Name of the representative passenger.
- Select “Search”, then choose “Cancel and Refund”.
Processing the refund online yourself allows for faster refund processing. The refund to your original payment account is expected to take 7–14 business days from the time of cancellation, depending on your card's statement cycle.
If you have not received the refund after this time, please email 19001166@bambooairways.com for assistance.
*Note: For Economy Saver Max tickets, customers cannot select the "Cancel and Refund" option as this ticket class does not allow refunds. If you still attempt to cancel/change your ticket, it will be cancelled and the ticket value will not be refunded.

Case 2: Submit a refund request via email
Customers can use the email address registered when booking their ticket to send a refund request to: 19001166@bambooairways.com.
The estimated processing time is within 90 working days, starting from the date Bamboo Airways confirms receipt of all valid information for your refund request.
The information required includes:
- Original payment account information, specifically:
- Credit card: Cardholder’s name, card number (first 6 digits and last 4 digits), expiry date; or
- Bank account number; or
- E-wallet account number.
- Booking code for the refund request.
- Name of the passenger requesting the refund (full name).
- Flight information for the refund request (flight route/date/time).
Case 3: Tickets purchased and issued at Bamboo Airways Ticket Office
Customers are requested to contact the Bamboo Airways ticket office where they originally purchased their tickets for assistance with refunds.
II. For bookings made through agents/other intermediaries, please contact the original agent/intermediary where the ticket was issued for assistance.
General Notes:
Name change fees, itinerary change fees, and upgrade fees are non-refundable (non-voluntary refunds).
Additional service fees (seats, baggage, insurance, etc.), itinerary change fees, upgrade fees, and name change fees are non-refundable. Bamboo Airways only supports refunds of fare differences in cases of changes from Economy Saver Max to higher fare classes. (Voluntary refunds).
