Located in the area of three wards Cua Nam, Doi Cung and Quang Trung, Vinh ancient citadel is a historical relic, which records many changes of Nghe An city. In 1804 under the rule of King Gia Long, the citadel was constructed of earth; in the 12th year of King Minh Mang, it was reconstructed in stone.
