Bamboo Airways Offers Free Transport of Relief Goods to Northern Communities During Historic Storm and Flooding

In an effort to support and share the difficulties faced by communities in the Northern regions severely impacted by flooding after Typhoon Yagi, Bamboo Airways has officially begun offering free transportation of relief goods from September 11, 2024, to September 26, 2024.

During this period, essential items (including food, water, and basic necessities) for flood-affected communities will be given priority and transported free of charge on Bamboo Airways flights. This service will be available on all flights departing from Ho Chi Minh City/ Da Nang/ Cam Ranh/ Quy Nhon/ Da Lat to Hanoi.

To ensure swift and efficient transportation, goods must be securely packed in parcels, with each parcel weighing no more than 40kg, and total shipments not exceeding 500kg. Each flight can carry up to 500kg of relief goods.

Organizations wishing to send relief supplies must provide an official request letter and a detailed list of the items being sent. Bamboo Airways will not transport items containing batteries or hazardous materials to ensure aviation safety.

Bamboo Airways' CEO, Lương Hoài Nam, stated: "Understanding the urgency of post-disaster relief efforts, our entire team is focused on prioritizing the transportation of relief goods on all flights. We hope to join hands with the people of Vietnam to provide the fastest and most timely support to those in the North affected by this historic storm and flooding."

Organizations, charities, and businesses looking to send relief goods should coordinate through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees, provincial/city People’s Committees, the Vietnam Red Cross, or other registered charitable foundations.
